My parents and I took a one day road trip to Hiroshima.
We had a lunch meeting with 20+ relatives, which was so heart warming.
After checking in at the hotel, we took a walk on "Namiki Street", headed to Micchan to have Okonomiyaki for dinner.
We saw a lot of German tourists in the hotel and on the street.
両親と一緒に広島まで1泊車旅行に行ってきました。
20人ちょいの親戚達とランチ会合。心温まるひととき。
ホテルのチェックインを済ませ、並木通りをぶらぶら、「みっちゃん」にてお好み焼きディナー。
この日はたくさんのドイツ人旅行者をホテルや通りで見かけました。
Day 2 started with Andersen's breakfast as usual.
On the way back to the hotel, my dad, who went to high school in the area, had a nostalgic moment, finding the spot he used to live being destroyed like this...↓
二日目は、恒例のアンデルセンでの朝食で開始。
ホテルへの帰路、この近くの高校に通っていた父は思い出に浸っておりました。
昔住んでいたという場所がこ～んなことになってたりして↓
Hiroshima castle was so beautiful surrounded by cherry blossom trees in full bloom under a blue sky.
Then we drove north to a small village where our ancestors are buried.
満開の桜の木々に囲まれた広島城、青空の下で、とてもきれいでした。
その後、ご先祖たちの眠る小さな村へと北上。
We got back safely at night and our dogs welcomed us happily at the breeders'.
帰りの車はいつも長く感じます。
無事に夜帰宅。ワンちゃんたちがブリーダーさん宅にて嬉しそうに迎えてくれました。
