Hello May and Happy Friday!
The heat went away and the temperature has been just right for the past few days, just perfect to welcome the new month.

Each country may be celebrating different events in this month.
Japan is in the middle of  "Golden Week",  which is a whole week off holidays including Constitution Memorial Day, Greenery Day and Children's Day.
Mother's Day on 10th may apply to many places in the world.
The birthstones are emerald and chrysoprase, which refreshing green tone really represents the month. The funny coincidence is that this month's symbol flower turned out to be rose, which I happened to photograph and labeled as May, just earlier today.

I feel that this month will be full of inspiration and production.

早くも5月に突入、そしてハッピーフライデー！
熱気は少し去ったようで、ここ数日過ごしやすく、
新しい月を迎えるのに、ちょうどよいかんじです。

今月のイベント、国によって違うと思うのですが、
日本はGW真っ只中ですね。
そしてたくさんの国に当てはまると思われる、10日の母の日。
誕生石はエメラルドとクリソプレーズ。
おもしろいことに、たまたま今朝撮影して「5月」と記したばかりのバラ、
実は今月のお花のシンボルだと判明。

今月はインスピレーションと制作、共によい予感。

A few weeks ago, I received these beautiful loose cut stones. - Aren't they beautiful!?
I agreed to make a ring using one of them, the pink chalcedony stone for her in return.
The trickiest part during the process was the band, double shank instead of a single band that
I'm used to. After the challenge, this is how it turned out. I'm happy with the outcome,
hoping she will too - it's on its way to her!

The rest is new work from these past days.
Prehnite, labradorite, pearls, brighter toned stones like turquoise, coral, etc..

数週間前に、一番上のカットストーンたちが届きました。（わくわくするほどの美しさ！）
譲ってくれた方にはその中のピンクカルセドニーで代わりにリングを作る、ということで同意。
制作過程で難しかったのは、二重にしたバンドの部分。いつもはシングルに慣れているので
意外に梃子摺ってしまいました。なにはともあれ、無事に完了。
なかなか満足な出来です。彼女も気に入ってくれるといいな。（郵送中）

残りは最近の作品たちです。
プレナイト、ラブラドライト、パール、トルコ石、珊瑚などの明るめの石たちを使用。
