I was going through my jewelry box admiring the rings today. They are not many but each one of them has a big character and story to it.

Regina Imbsweiler is a German-born artist of 30+ experience in Atlanta. This is a special ring that I don't wear all the time but spend some time looking and appreciating its beauty. The gold bubbles and textures on the band is so amazing and the whole look of it is just so sophisticated, balanced, and so precious to me. This rectangular cabochon grayish blue-green hued aquamarine is dreamy and mysterious that is very calming.
レジーナ・インブスウェイラーさんはアトランタ在住の、30年以上の経験を誇るドイツ生まれのアーティストです。このリングは、いつも身につけるというよりは、たまに眺めてはその美しさを堪能するというような特別な一点。黄金のつぶつぶとバンド上の質感が素晴らしく、その全体的のバランスのよさ、洗練さが絶妙で私にとってはとても貴重なリングなのです。長方形のグレイっぽい淡い青緑のカボションカットのアクアマリンが幻想的で神秘的で、心落ち着くトーンです。
Steve Battelle is fond of cabochons and their beauty really stands out in his simple and elegant design. I really love the silver and gold combination around the stone. I wear the rainbow moonstone ring the most. Its iridescence cheers me up. The designer locates in Soquel (near Santa Cruz), California and Bali, Indonesia.

カボションカットが大好きというスティーブ・バテルさん。そのシンプルでエレガントなデザインがそれぞれの石の美しさをしっかりと引き立てています。石を取り巻くシルバーとゴールドの組み合わせがとても気に入っています。一番よく着けるのはレインボームーンストーンのリング。その玉虫色の光沢が気持ちを元気にしてくれます。スティーブさんはソークエル（カリフォルニアのサンタクルーズの近く）とバリ島を拠点としているようです。

These are my everyday rings. Oxidized textured sterling silver is my favorite look. The band with dots and cross was purchased in Seoul, Korea. I wish I remembered the name of the shop but me and my mom spent hours in this cute shop. The shop owner's sister is the actual designer. I hope to visit again! The spinning love ring is made by Israeli designer. I fell in love with both of their uniqueness.
こちらはカジュアルリング達です。酸化させて質感のあるスターリングシルバーが私のお気に入りのスタイル。水玉とクロスのバンドはソウルで購入しました。お店の名前を覚えてないのが残念。。母と何時間も長居したかわいいお店です。作品達はオーナーのお姉さんのものだとのことでした。また行けたらいいな！くるくるラブリングはイスラエルのデザイナー作です。どちらもそのユニークさにとても惹かれました。

Those two 18K rings are gifted from my mom. I love their ancient like elegance. I wear them to go with a bit feminine vintage like outfit. Good pieces like this are ageless and in style forever!
こちらの18金の二点は母からの贈り物。古代風エレガンスが漂っているかんじが気に入っています。ちょっぴりフェミニンなビンテージっぽい洋服と合わせたりします。こういうよいものは時代や流行を問わないよさがあるなあと思います。
Very contemporary clean sophisticated style that is a little bit more conservative look than my usual taste but I love the idea of "stackable" and love playing with them. I can enjoy them in many different ways, being creative about it like wearing just one of them, combining with other bands, etc. Stones are tiny amethyst, blue topaz, and iolite.
とってもコンテンポラリーできりっと洗練されたスタイルで、私にはちょっとコンサバティブなかんじなのですが、「スタッカブル（重ね付けタイプ）」というコンセプトで遊べるところが気に入りました。一つだけ着けてみたり、他のバンドと組み合わせたり、と色んな楽しみ方があるのです。石は小さなアメジストと、ブルートパーズ、アイオライトです。

°Cにて記念に買ってくれた一品。天然石への興味がまだ芽生えてなかった頃で、このちょっとモード風かつ媚びないかんじにとても惹かれたのでした。このリングを目にしたり身に着ける度にあの頃のこと、あの頃のスタイルのことをちょっぴり思い出します。思い出の品っていいものですよね。

I hesitate to include my experimental pieces among the other artisan pieces but those are the ones I made in the metalsmith class at Monterey Peninsula College. Zebra looks like a Mokume-gane skill but it's actually made with stencils and sandblasting. I succeeded to bring out this zebra pattern after oxidizing and brushing. Wrap-around style is made from a strip of wire. After soldering the ends together, I hammered and dipped in the sulfur water then brushed it to add some textures. It takes a lot of patience and experiments but I start to miss the process and excitement of metalsmith!

こんな素晴らしい作品達と一緒に拙い自作を載せるのは気が引けるのですが、こちらは昔、モントレーペニンスラカレッジ（MPC）で彫金のクラスに通っている時に作ったリング達です。ゼブラ模様のリングは木目金のようにも見えますが、実は、ステンシルとサンドブラスターの機械を使って作ったものです。酸化とヤスリがけでゼブラが浮き出てくれました。ラップリングはワイヤーをぐるぐる巻にしてハンマーと酸化で質感を出したものです。彫金はたくさんの実験が要されて忍耐力も必要ですが、あのわくわくがなんとなく懐かしくなってきました。
私のジュエリー賛美とジュエリー作りの旅はまだまだ続きます・・・・・。
