We wanted to explore somewhere new during Labor Day holiday, but the place we were interested in was as hot as 108 F at the time of this season. We had no idea how hot it would be...... so instead of a challenge, we decided to take one day trip to Temecula. The weather in OC was overcast and a bit chilly and it was even sprinkling on the way but the sky in Temecula was clear blue in hot summer climate. The first destination was "Falkner". There was Jazz session going on outside on the grass. We could find a table for ourselves to enjoy tasting our pick of wine very slowly. Bordeaux 2006 was my favorite. And of course, port wine!

レイバー・デー（労働者の日）の３連休は、どこか新しいところを開拓したかったのですが、興味のある行き先は今の時期、華氏１０８度（摂氏４２度くらい？）という暑さとのこと。どのくらい暑いんだか全く想像がつかないため、無謀なチャレンジはやめ、テメキュラ日帰り旅行に変更しました。この日のオレンジカウンティのお天気は曇り空で少し肌寒いくらいで、途中では雨がぱらついたほどでしたが、テメキュラの空は真っ青で夏らしい暑さでした。最初の目的地はフォークナー。外の芝ではジャズライブ。私達も外のテーブルを見つけ、選んだワインをゆっくりと楽しみました。2006年のボルドーが一番好きでした。あとはやっぱりポートワイン！
