Sapphire Blue Iolite for September

As well as sapphire, iolite also called "water sapphire" is a birthstone for September. The color changes when viewed from different angles; blue, smokey blue, bluish violet, greenish, yellowish brown, gray, and colorless to pale blue in thin section. This moody, somewhat mysterious stone is described as the stone of "calmness" and also "foresight" that helps clear visions lead to the right direction.

『ウォーターサファイア』とも呼ばれるアイオライトは、サファイア同様、９月の誕生石です。その色は、見る角度によって、青、群青、青紫、緑、黄色っぽい茶色、グレイ、薄っぺらい部分は無色から淡い青、と姿を変えます。この気分屋でどこか神秘的なアイオライトは、『冷静』あるいは進むべき道を示す『先見の明』の石と評されます。
