It is in the middle of autumn but the weather was very confusing, going back and forth between summer and fall in Southern California when I left there. I was expecting the weather in Japan to be very fall like in mid October but it's been very very hot. I even heard a cicada, the symbol of the hot hot sweaty mid summer, buzzing in the backyard. What is going on!? I was so excited to experience the fall season with autumn colored leaves but I haven't seen it so far..... It's a rainy day today. I'm hoping that the new season will finally appear after it clears up.

秋まっただ中なはずなのに、去る頃の南カリフォルニアは暑かったり寒かったりの繰り返しでとても分かりにくいお天気でした。日本のお天気は１０月らしい秋模様なんだろうと予想していたのに、暑い暑い。夏の汗ばむ暑さの象徴である蝉の声まで裏庭から聞こえてくる始末。いったいどうしてしまったのか！？期待していた紅葉の秋は今だ経験できず、、、。本日は雨。上がったら新しい季節の到来となることを祈りつつ。
