My Sunday went by very slowly and peacefully. I came across a lot of interesting creations and articles today. These days my inspiration sources are not only coming from visually pretty things but also from people's stories. I subscribed to a lot of magazines randomly to eat up my expiring airline mileage months ago. AFAR was one of my choices. I wasn't familiar with this travel magazine but found it very fascinating. "NOMAD" is my favorite section that introduces "perpetual travelers". Getting to know their values is very refreshing and assuring.
Barbara Weibel's episode was very deep."We get stuck in our lives. I was for years, and I knew what I wanted to do, but I didn’t do it because I was fearful. You just have to have a certain amount of faith and trust in the universe that if this is what you want to do, then you should go ahead and do it." says she. Yes, I know that feeling very very well.
Miranda Skoczek, an Aussie artist, was featured on
Adore Magazine. I adore her colorful & whimsical paintings as well as her story.
I also did a bit of creating today, retouching some of my previous works and making something different from my usual gemstone jewelry, a bubbly felted ball necklace.

本日日曜日はとってもゆっくりと平和に過ぎていきました。たくさんの作品や記事に出会いました。最近の私のインスピレーションの源はというと、見た目きれいでステキな物だけではなく、人々のストーリーだったりします。数ヶ月か前に期限の切れそうなエアラインのマイレージを消化するために手当たり次第に雑誌を購読し始めたのですが、AFARはそのうちの一つでした。この旅雑誌、全然知らなかったのですが、実はとってもいい選択でした。『ノーマッド』(遊牧民）というのがお気に入りのコーナーで、長期旅行者達のお話しです。彼らの価値観に触れるのは、とっても新鮮で心強い気持ちになります。
バーバラウィーベルさんのエピソードはとても深かったです。「みんな人生どこかで行き詰まってしまう。私も長い間そうでした。自分のやりたいことは分かっているのに、怖くてできなかった。でももしも本当にやりたいことが分かっているんだったら、強い信念を持つこと。それができたらあとは前進あるのみ。」とのこと。そうですよね。とっても分かる気がする、、、。
さて、ミランダスコーチェック（発音合ってるかな？）さんというオーストラリアのアーティストが
アドアマガジンで紹介されており、カラフルで遊び心のある絵とストーリーに惹かれました。
本日は創作も少々。以前作ったものを手直ししたり、いつもの天然石ジュエリーとは違ったテイストの、丸っこいフェルトのネックレスを作ってみました。
