Items from Today

Some random new creations from today. This lapis lazuli stone has such a beautiful intense blue with a nice lapidary job. Tiny gold speckles add a charm to it. I find lapis stone very mysterious, prosperous ancient Egyptian like. I made a simple sliding pendant out of it accented with tiny coral & turquoise beads on an extender part. The next is heavy weight double strand sterling silver rolo chain bracelet. Delicate and dainty is lovely but some nice weight on the wrist also feels nice sometimes. I added some of my favorite charms, sand dollar and horseshoe to it. Milky blue chalcedony helps soften the hardness of the chain. 14K gold ring is made from a bracelet my mom gave me long time ago. It was a bit too long for my wrist but triple wrap fits on my middle finger perfectly and now I wear this all the time. Lastly is a felted ball necklace that I already mentioned on my last post. It's so far from what I usually make but balls were so adorable that I couldn't help doing something with it!

本日の作品達です。まずはこのラピス。濃い鮮やかな藍色と面白いカットが気に入りました。ぽつっと小さな金斑文もいい味を出しています。ラピスってどこか神秘的。全盛期の古代エジプトを思わせるかんじ。というわけで、シンプルなスライド式ペンダントを作ってみました。アジャスターには小さな珊瑚とトルコ石で装飾。次は重めのスターリングシルバー２連ロロチェーンブレス。華奢でデリケートなのもかわいらしくていいのですが、たまには手首にずっしりとした重みも気持ちがいいものです。お気に入りのサンドダラー（貝）とホースシュー（馬蹄）のチャームもくっつけました。ミルキーな水色カルセドニーがハードな印象を和らげます。14金リングは随分前に母からもらったブレスをアレンジしたもの。ブレスとしては長すぎだったのですが、中指にくるくる３連にしてみるとピッタリ。ヘビロテアイテムに変身。最後は前回ちらっと載せましたが、フェルト玉のネックレス。いつものスタイルとはかけ離れているのですが、フェルトちゃん達があまりにかわいすぎたので何か作らなきゃ！ということでこんなかんじにしてみました。
