It was already warm when we arrived around noon so they were fluttering around individually
instead of clustering together on the trees. These wings of bright orange gave away such lovely contrast against the blue sky under the sun.
Our very last stop was this quiet beach in Carmel.
It is the perfect place to conclude the trip, energizing us to take a long drive back home.
These are souvenirs from the trip; antler looking branch that was found on the beach
and a piece of red leaf.
モナーク・グローブ・サンクチュアリーは、冬を過ごすモナーク蝶のための小さな植林地です。
到着したのはお昼頃ですでに暖かかったので、蝶々たちはみんなで木々に連なっている図ではなく、
個々にひらひらと飛び回っていました。明るいオレンジの羽が、お日様の元で
青い空ときれいに対比して印象的でした。
最後に向かったのはカーメルの静かなビーチ。
旅を締めくくるにはピッタリの場所。長い帰りのドライブ前にパワーをもらいました。
旅のお土産：ビーチで見つけた角のような形の枝と、真っ赤な葉っぱ。
