I used to check out those department stores like Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom so often but I haven't done it a while....or even if I go, I rarely buy anything. It's always so exciting to see what's new out there but my crazy shopping phase has cooled down a bit. One reason is that I'm more towards one-of-a-kind these days. When I find something interesting, I try to see if I feel any special connection to it. Or I ask myself if it's really my style. Sometimes things that look pretty just don't look right when worn. (Maybe more pretty on someone else, etc.) Secondly, I used to be an impulsive shopper but I try not to be anymore because the items I buy impulsively usually don't look good next day..... Through my long shopping history, I've learned that there aren't so many things that I truly want in the end. Fulfillment that comes from impulsive shopping don't last long either. Meanwhile, it's different when I get something that I really wanted for long time. It seems to be such a simple common sense but I finally got it now..... Browsing online shopping sites has been a good training tool for me. It's good to grasp what's new online before I physically cruise around those shops to see the items in person.
