Stumbled upon this citrus grove while cruising around the unfamiliar part of the town.
Besides the dream like grove on the hill, scenes of growing cactus & maple trees with leaves already turning yellow were also a bit of nice surprises.
This was a day in early August and the sun was glittering, yet I sensed the arrival of autumn in the cool breeze up on the hill.
I imagine these citrus trees are surrounded by so many bees during the blooming season but they are completely out of sight at this moment. I guess the scentless trees are not so attractive to these insects.
It has entered late summer and days are becoming shorter and shorter.

傾斜に茂るレモンの木々はさることながら、サボテンの群生やすでに紅葉しかけの楓の木々など思いがけない情景に出会いました。

アーバイン内の行ったことのない場所をふらりとドライブしていたところ、このレモン園を発見。
傾斜に茂るレモンの木々はさることながら、サボテンの群生やすでに紅葉しかけの楓の木々など思いがけない情景に出会いました。
この日はまだ8月上旬でぎらぎら太陽だったものの、丘の上の涼しい風は秋の訪れを感じさせるものでした。
きっとこのレモンの木々の花咲く頃は蜂たちが忙しく飛び交っているのだろうけれど、彼らの姿は見られず。甘い香りのない木には昆虫も興味なし、ということですかね。
さて、夏も終わりに近づき、日もどんどんも短くなってきています。
