Weekend Exploration

 

 

 

 

Zeytoon Cafe, my new favorite spot in Laguna Beach where I met a sweet girl who is traveling to Japan in a few weeks. Hope to see her again to hear the story after the trip.

 

Stopped by the usual beach on the way home and enjoyed the healing moment...

 

Small tidepools on the shore were like a mini aquarium holding full of lives like sea anemones, crabs, helmet crabs and small fish with a tiny dot on the back, whose name I later discovered to be opaleye perch.

 

The sunset time is getting earlier and earlier, now around 6:30.

It was a little bit overcast in the evening but still was a very pretty day.

 

 

Also here's the weekend creation: dainty necklace and earrings made out of oxidized sterling silver with amber chips.

 

 

 

すっかり気に入った、ラグナビーチのゼイトゥーンカフェにて。

数週間後に日本旅行を控えているという優しげな女の子に出会いました。再会することがあれば、旅の話を聞きたいな。

 

そしていつものビーチに寄り道。癒しのひと時。

 

岸辺の潮溜まりはまるでミニ水族館。イソギンチャク、カニ、ヤドカリ、そして後に名前が「オパールアイ・パーチ」と判明した、背中あたりに小さな斑点のある魚たちが生息。

 

日没時間はどんどん早まり、いまや6時半頃。

少々曇り空ながら、気持ちのいい1日でした。

 

 

そして週末の創作。

アンバーといぶし銀で、繊細なかんじに仕上げたネックレスとイヤリング。
