Baby Dove ❤︎

 

 

Well, the babiness is quickly going away day by day but this is the young male that has been taking a couple of visits daily. The much smaller baby female often comes along with him or they would show up separately to hang out there for a little bit. Could it be all different ones? Could be but most likely these are the same two.

These mourning doves are nothing like the pigeons that I used to see crowd up everywhere on the street in Japan. These seem calmer, not as greedy nor impudent but just so very cautious. They may never get friendly but I find them so sweet.

I am becoming a dove lady..！

赤ちゃんぽさは日に日にぐんぐんなくなってきてますが、、、。こちら、毎日数回遊びに来るオスのナゲキバトくん。もっと小ぶりの赤ちゃんメスも一緒に来たり、バラバラに現れたりとまちまち。もしかして毎回全部違う子たちだったりして。おそらく同じ二羽だと思うのですが。

ハトはハトでも、日本の街頭に群がるあのハトたちと違い、もっとおっとりな佇まい。卑しいかんじやあつかましいかんじがあまりなく、とにかく怖がり。今後も懐くことはないかもだけど、なんだかとっても愛らしく思えます。

すっかりハト女と化してきてる今日この頃。
