Peridot's history starts back in Ancient Egyptian times over 3000 years ago. Since then, this stone has been associated with the sun, believed to protect from any negative powers.
Peridot's main sources are: Egypt, Myanmar, America (Arizona), Norway, and recently Pakistan.
Interestingly, Arizona's peridot is found in nodules that were pushed to the surface by volcanic eruption.
Peridot is August's birthstone.

ペリドットの主な原産地はエジプト、 ミャンマー、アメリカ（アリゾナ）、ノルウェー、パキスタン。
興味深いことに、アリゾナのペリドットは噴火で地上に押し出されてきた団塊から発掘されるとのこと。
ペリドットは8月の誕生石。
