I added a few gold filled jewelry to the collection.
Metalwork on gold filled is tricky as too much heating could ruin the metal.
Ever since using the boric acid method, it’s been a lot smoother and more encouraging to work with gold filled.
It also makes soldering sterling silver seem so much easier.
So, what I’m planning next is solid gold version. We’ll see how it goes.
The rings shown here are rhodolite garnet (round) and peach tourmaline (pear).

コレクションに加えたゴールドフィルドのジュエリーたちです。
ゴールドフィルドは、熱しすぎると台無しになってしまうので、なかなか扱いにくい素材なのですが、
ホウ酸を使う方法を導入以来、ぐっとやり易くなり、もっと作ろうという気にもなってきました。
おかげで銀のロウ付けがとても簡単に思えるようになったというのもあります。
なので、次はいよいよ14金バージョンかな、と思っているのですが、どうなるかしら…
