New Girl

 

 

 

While Oscar's original mate, Lulu hasn't been around for almost a month, he's slowly starting to allow this new girl (named Nini) to be near him. He still tends to shy away from her but seems to be more and more comfortable with her. Although I miss Lulu so much, I'm happy to see Oscar not being alone anymore.

 

I learned that morning doves are monogamous but the survived mate would find another mate. Nini is still scared of me but Oscar availed her to eat seeds off my hand. Hope she will get more used to me soon. I will make sure that Nini won't be injured like Lulu.

 

 

オスカーの相方だったルルの姿が見えなくなってから1ヶ月ほど経過し、オスカーは少しずつこの新入りちゃん(ニニと命名)に心を許すようになってきた様子。まだまだ逃げ腰な一面を見せつつも、じわじわと一緒にいるのが自然になってきているのが窺われる。私もルルが恋しいものの、オスカーがもう一人ぼっちじゃないのは嬉しいこと。

 

ナゲキバトは一雌一雄の習性があるものの、生き残った片割れはまた新たに相方を見つけるのだそうで。ニニはまだ私のことを怖がっているようだけど、オスカーに便乗して手からエサを食べる。徐々に慣れてくれるかな。ルルみたいに怪我しないように注意してあげないとな。
