Dainty Layer Bracelet

This is a versatile two way (bracelet or choker necklace) piece I have been making lately. 

 

Size options are 4 lengths from 12"-14" (2" extender) to 15"-17" just long enough

for you to wrap around your wrist twice or may be worn as a short necklace, depending on the length.

When written in Kanji, my name Yoko means "sun child".

So maybe that's why I am needing the moon to balance myself.

Gems and Flowers - Mixing sparkles, opaque and smooth shimmer

 

New year, new spirit/mindset.

Just got back from my trip to Japan.

Ten year worth of healing precious experience, like surrounded by billions of sparkly gemstones.

 

I have a lot of photos taken in Japan to share here but first,

I am still a process of organizing old photos and reflecting on my old creations,

remembering each moment that all these things happened.

 

This is part of the mood that happened last fall:

*getting rid of the clutter in life and living with the bare minimum of things.

And the mood has been well carried over so far this year.

Well, creating new jewelry pieces that are going to be added to someone's collection may

contradict this idea but I hope my little creations can be  the "bare minimum" side, not the

"clutter" side of your life.

 

 

新しい年、新たな心意気。

日本の旅から帰ってきたばかりです。

１０年分の尊い癒しのひととき。数えきれないほどの宝石に囲まれたような。

（訳すと大げさになってしまうけど・・）

日本で撮ったたくさんの写真を載せたいところだけれど、

まずは。

 古い画像の整理と過去の作品を振り返ってその時々のあれこれを思い出す作業。

これも去年の秋から今年も繰り越し継続中の「断捨離モード」の一環。

*生活内のがらくたをえいっと捨て去って、必要最小限で暮らすこと。

新しいジュエリーを作り続けてそれが誰かのコレクションに加わる

ということを考えると矛盾してるんじゃないかという気もするけれど、

私の小さな作品たちが「がらくた」ではなくて「必要最小限」の側に

選別されるといいなあと願いつつ。
