Sunset in Upper Newport Bay

 

 

I thought that the cold days were over but I was wrong.

Upper Newport Bay's evening was beautifully misty and made me shiver.

Far away down on the water are a flock of birds. While I was wondering whether they were all ducks or a mixture of different kinds that were enjoying the company of each other, the one suddenly took off and that was a pelican. It flew so low right above the water and made a dreamy reflection.

A few rabbits jumped out of the bush and quickly went out of sight. They are so cute but such scaredy cats!

寒い日々はもう終わりなのかと思いきや、、、違ったようです。

夕方のアッパー・ニューポート・ベイは靄がかかっていて、ブルブル震える寒さ。

見下ろすと彼方の水辺に鳥の群れ。全部アヒルなのかな、それとも色んな種が仲良く集っているのかな、などと考えていたところ、突然飛び立った一羽はペリカンさんだったのでした。水のすぐ上を飛ぶ姿、きれいな影を描いていました。

数匹のうさぎが茂みから飛び出してきたかと思ったらあっという間にどこへやら。かわいいのに、なんといっても怖がりなうさちゃんたちなのでした。

というわけで、さよなら、生き物たち。
