Sunny Friday afternoon arrived with the blue sky with no hint of clouds after the continuous rainy days.
The fresh air felt good at the park where spring doesn't seem to have come yet.
数日続いた雨がスッキリ上がり、一点の曇りもない晴天の金曜の午後。
空気が澄んで気持ちのいい公園。でもまだあまり春らしさは見受けられず。
Wildlife also seems to be no show today except some sparrows.
I took a further walk but was about to give up when...
野生動物方面も今日はスズメだけかぁ。。
などと諦めモードで歩いていたら、、、
I ran into something unusual!
珍しいのに遭遇！
I remember seeing them somewhere else before.
I looked it up later this time and found out they are "Egyptian Geese",
originally from Africa.
以前もどこかで見かけたことがある。
調べてみたら、エジプトガンというカモ科の鳥と判明。
もともとはアフリカ出身なのね。
Besides a slight difference in a size, both a male and a female look alike.
They seem to be fond of standing on one leg for some reason.
They may not be in this place next time I visit.
It was such a nice special occasion that I enjoyed so much!
若干サイズの差はあるように見えるけど、オスもメスも姿はほぼ同じ。
じっと立っているときはどちらもなぜか一本足。
次回はもういないだろうな。
