Sunny Day in Crystal Cove

After some gloomy days, it finally cleared up this weekend over here.

どんよりお天気の日が続いたのですが、やっと週末になってからっと晴れてくれました。

This place in Crystal Cove used to be just a small ice cream stand and it's now owned by Ruby's. They now have larger seating areas and serve some real meals. I kinda miss the tiny private owned version of it but there aren't so many places like this where we can sit down to enjoy such a view with ice cream on hand. -I'm glad they kept it on the menu. Beach was packed so I didn't want to walk down this time. It was first time this year or ever that I enjoyed my entire ice cream in this place without feeling cold towards the end. It was a hot day, a perfect day to end with Indian food and beer.


このクリスタルコブのスポットはかつてはちっぽけなアイスクリーム屋さんだったのですが、今や、Ruby's（という大型チェーンレストラン）が経営している模様。テーブルも大きくなり、 本格的な食事もできるようになっています。個人経営のあのちっぽけなかんじが恋しいものの、アイスクリーム片手に（せめてこれがメニューから消えてなくてよかった）この絶景を座って楽しめるところはそうそうありません。ビーチは混み混みだったので、今回はとことこ降りて行くのはパス。今年に入って初めて、というかもしかしたら今までで初めて、ここのアイスクリームを最後の方肌寒くなってくることなく完食しました。インド料理とビールで締めくくるにはピッタリの、暑い一日だったのでした。
