La Jolla (Birds) ラホヤ (鳥たち)

A misty evening in La Jolla.

霞みがかった夕暮れ時のラホヤ。

The wave was very high and aggressive!

とても高くて荒い波！

"The Old Man and The Sea".

『老人と海』。

Although it wasn't much of a pelican day today,

I manged to capture one flying right above my head.

今日はあまりペリカンには出会えなかったのですが、

頭上を飛ぶ一羽をなんとかパシャリ。

Found a cresccent moon in the blue sky.

青空に三日月さん発見。

A flock of seagulls were busy catching scraps of food that someone was throwing at them.

餌を投げている人がいて、それを捕らえるのに忙しいカモメたち。

Well, despite the expectations of the photographers with their camera set on the tripod

to wait for the very moment, dense clouds didn't want to show the sunset...

さて、カメラを三脚にセットして、その時を心待ちにしている写真家たちの期待に反し、

どうやら厚い雲は夕日を見せてくれない様子。

So be it. Time for me to go.

というわけで、一足お先に、失礼〜。

Here's the cafe of the day: Brick and Bell -literary, bricked building with bells on the wall.

I enjoyed my tuna sandwich and hot chocolate.

こちらは本日のカフェ：ブリック＆ベル。（文字通り、レンガ造りで壁にはベル）

ツナサンドとココアをいただきました。
