Guitar Event at Nonna, Munakata Fukuoka, Japan

Shown here is the guitar club "Yamabiko", meaning "Echo", performing at Nonna, a lovely Italian restaurant in my hometown in Fukuoka. They have performed 60s to 70s folk songs in a regular basis in different locations locally for about 10 years. The audience enjoys singing songs together so much that the club's schedules are becoming more and more busy each year. Their repertoire is 100 songs, which they switch around depending on the audience's age groups.

The energy that both performers and the audience were sharing so happily together, something my generation doesn't seem to have, gave me warm fuzzies in my tummy.

The event included Nonna's cake and coffee that brought everyone a joyful chatty moment.
It was a wonderful event!


こちらはギターサークル『やまびこ』のライブ演奏の様子です。
先日、私の故郷、福岡県宗像市の素敵なイタリアンレストラン、ノンナにて行われました。
演奏内容は主に、60年代～70年代のフォークソング。
観客も一緒に歌って楽しむスタイルが好評で、
結成10年にして、活動も徐々に拡がっている模様。
持ち曲100曲とのことで、毎回若干異なる年齢層に合わせて
コンサートのたびに演奏曲を変えるんだとか。

私たちの世代にはないような一体感というか、
見ていてとても微笑ましく、羨ましくもある、明るい熱気に
包まれたひとときでした。

因みにイベントはノンナの美味しいケーキとコーヒー付き。
皆さん楽しくお喋りされる時間にぴったりでした！
