Pebble Hunt

 

 

 

Some souvenirs from yesterday. 

Colors are beautiful (especially when they are wet) and some looked like marbles.

Very soothing to look at.

My favorite is the darker stone with red spots, so unique!

Amazing gifts from nature.

 

昨日のお土産。

色とりどりで美しく(湿ってる時は特に)、マーブルのようなのも混ざってます。

とっても癒される。

一番のお気に入りは、黒っぽい地に真っ赤な模様のやつ。とってもユニーク。

自然界からの贈り物。

 

Pelican Beach

 

 

Soon after arriving at the beach, I encountered a few pelicans flying across the sky towards the sun.

And another few flew to the same direction, and that happened a few more times.

Some time later, maybe around fifty of them lined up straight and flew back from the sun direction to the other side of the sky. It was quite a view.

Pelicans are so big and could be pretty spooky looking when they are just sitting around quietly and stare at you in near distance. But whenever I see them flying above the water, I feel so lucky and excited. They way they fly is so elegant and maybe the long beak is what makes the silhouette more graceful.

I love when clouds are surrounding the sun over the ocean. It's more dreamy and dramatic this way.

ビーチに到着後間もなくして、空を横切るペリカンさん数羽発見。お日様の方向へと消えて行きました。

また数羽、また数羽と同じ方向へ消えて行くペリカンさんたち。

しばらくして、50羽ほどでしょうか、きれいに一列になって今度はお日様の方から反対側へと戻ってくる図に遭遇。なんという光景！

ペリカンは大きいし、間近で佇んでこちらを眺めていたりするとけっこう不気味なのですが、こうして海上を飛ぶ姿を目にするとなぜかラッキーな気がして思わずわくわくしてしまいます。飛び方がなんか優雅で、長いくちばしのせいか、シルエットが美しい。

雲が太陽の周りを囲んでいる海の情景が好きです。幻想的でドラマチックなかんじ。
